Creating Your Own Custom Garden Arrangement

Creating Your Own Custom Garden Arrangement

Setting up a beautiful and long living garden arrangement in your back or front yard has never been easier! What you will need is:

A small to medium sized children’s swimming pool.Plenty of garden soil to fill the pool. The seeds or plants that you want to grow.A garden umbrella.Seashells.Plenty of plant food and water.A location that gets plenty of sunlight.A small fountain or bird bath for the water effect.A shovel.

The idea of this project is to create a beautiful and safe spot for your new miniature garden. With your new garden, you can be as creative as you want, transforming it into any way you see fit.

First, break a hole in the center of the pool. This is for the stem of the garden umbrella. Make sure the hole is not too big.

Next, poke more small holes in the pool. This is to allow for water drainage should it rain.

Now, dig a hole in the ground. Make sure it is deep enough to put the entire pool inside, only leaving the brim above ground.

Shove the umbrella brim into the ground as hard and as deep as you can. Make sure it is secure.

Fill the pool with the dirt.

Place the small water fountain or bird bath close to the center of the pool. You may have to bury parts of the base to secure it. The fountain or bath should be small enough so that when you lift the umbrella up, it will not topple over. A water base works perfectly in preventing this from happening. Now, begin planting your seed or plants. Be sure to add seashells as you go along.

You made add extra decorations to fit a certain theme that you like.

When your plants need sunlight, keep the umbrella down, but when you feel that it is too hot or they’ve gotten enough sunlight, you can open the umbrella to protect them.

Be sure to add plant food liberally and water your new garden whenever needed. Most importantly, have fun with your new creation!
