Expand Your Outdoor Solar Garden Lights With Lighted Umbrellas

Today, we are in that odd place (and time) where solar lights still could not entirely replace normal, (plugged), lights. Most of the solar lights, especially outdoor garden lights, being sold in major home improvement stores are either too weak or too flimsy. If you already use these in bunches, you obviously still need more to maintain moderate to decent outdoor lighting.

One thing solar buffs recently discovered are the advent of solar-powered lighted outdoor umbrellas. These umbrellas are typically known as patio umbrellas, market umbrellas, pool umbrellas and so forth. They are those huge, free-standing umbrellas that shade patio sets and/or pool chairs.

If you do not currently own one, adding a patio umbrella can also make wonders for the look of your backyard. These umbrellas are known for their unique look and complimenting styles that can enhance any plain-looking patio. The good thing is, now you know there are solar-lighted versions of such and you can go straight to buying that.

If you already own one, you can replace your existing unit with a lighted one or simply add another umbrella if your space permits. These lighted umbrellas are fairly affordable, and considering they provide you with free light, they should pay for themselves in no time.

Umbrellas obviously catch a lot of sunlight-it is their purpose anyway-which means catching and storing enough energy would not be a problem. Most of these umbrellas have solar panels at the topmost portion of the canvas, so it looks natural and not out of place. They also use energy-efficient LED lights which are typically scattered on the ribs of the canvas, allowing for a creative, umbrella-shaped lighting. Some also have bigger lamps situated at the top of the main pole-in addition to the mentioned LEDs-for even brighter lighting.

So, there you have it. If you need all the solar lighting you can get without having to make your backyard look like a garden light farm, add a lighted umbrella.
