A rose arbor basically constitutes any structure that can support the growth of vines or plants that climb. There is an endless amount of variations of this type of structure to choose from. Garden structures can be found in simple to assemble kits that can be purchased at garden centers or home improvement stores. Prices will vary greatly depending on the material you choose. For instance, a wrought iron arbor is going to cost you drastically more than any other material. The durability, craftsmanship, and quality of the structure will be the main determining factor as far as price goes. If you are looking for an inexpensive addition to your garden landscape, stick with vinyl or wood. Either of these two materials will work fine but may require a little more maintenance through the years. For instance a light colored vinyl structure may need to be cleaned at spring time before your roses begin to grow again. Wood structures may need to be repainted or replaced because of rot, bugs, or fading.
